How AI Changes Coordination and Control
AI systems do more than perform tasks. They increase the speed and scale at which decisions and actions can be coordinated.
As AI is deployed, processes become faster, interactions multiply, and systems become more tightly connected. This leads to higher efficiency, but also to higher complexity.
When coordination grows, control must grow with it. More decisions require more validation, more oversight, and more mechanisms to ensure consistency.
If control does not keep up, systems begin to show instability:
- inconsistent outcomes
- loss of trust
- need for additional rules and supervision
This is why AI adoption is often accompanied by new layers of governance, monitoring, and regulation. The system must adapt not only to what AI can do, but to how it changes coordination itself.
AI does not simply improve performance. It changes the balance between coordination and control.
